When you're walking on our beach the solitude is broken only by the cry of Blue Heron and our local eagles!

Whidbey Island is a beautiful place to vacation and you're sure to enjoy the beach with its spectacular views - and it's right outside your doorstep.

While walking on the beach at low tide, looking for sand dollars and seashells, the solitude is broken only by the cry of Blue Heron and our local eagles.

Our low tides can go one-quarter mile out and yet the sand is very firm for beachcombing. There are even rubber boots in the closet for our guests to use.

We offer our guests a beautifully remodeled two-bedroom guest cottage, with a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a couch that makes out into a double bed, and a small bedroom with a twin bed and trundle. This is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing vacation!

For your comfort it includes a digital TV and a VCR, a cozy wood stove, and a full kitchen. The cottage sleeps up to 6 people, but if you have more in your party, we will do our best to accommodate you!

We also offer a second accommodation, our Maxwelton Beach House. Enjoy the same breathtaking views, a full kitchen, two queen beds, bathtub, shower, washer/dryer and beach access with a patio on the beach.

One of the queen beds is a very comfortable and new hide-a-bed in the living room. There are two digital cable TV’s inside and a CD player.

Once you are settled in, the nightly sunset views of Admiralty Inlet, the Olympic Mountain Range, and the shipping lanes of Puget Sound from the living room/kitchen or the master bedroom, are nothing less than spectacular. You or your guests can spend time enjoying the natural beauty around you, walking, bird watching, biking, boating, and more.

If you are so inclined, you can take advantage of the sophisticated and exciting artistic life of Whidbey Island. Langley, home of the renowned Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, the Clyde Movie Theater, and several regionally known restaurants, shops and galleries are only a 10-minute drive away. Golf at Island Greens is just around the corner and very affordable.

Finally, we have available the Blue Heron Room in the Whidbey Beach House. This room includes a queen size bed, a full private bath (tub and shower) and your morning coffee is provided! You'll really enjoy the patio on the beach.

Many of our past guests reserve for a second and third time, so please be sure to contact us at your earliest convenience, especially for holiday weekends or school vacation times.
