Access to Bald Head Island is by ferry only. The island's mainland ferry terminal and parking lot are located at Indigo Plantation and Marina in Southport, N.C.
By air: The nearest airports are located in Wilmington, NC (45-minute drive) and Myrtle Beach (60-minute drive) from the ferry terminal. Both airports are serviced by US Air, American and Delta.
By car: I-40 and Highway 74/76 link Wilmington with I-95 to provide access from points north, south and east. View Larger Map
You will need to make ferry reservations to visit the island. Round trip fare includes tram service from the ferry depot to the rental home will be included. Call 1-800-234-1666.
