Makanui Bungalow is a beautifully decorated, newly refurbished, ocean view, two story private bungalow located in a residential neighborhood, at the end of a private cul-de-sac in sunny Poipu. You will be within walking distance to all the Poipu hotspots like Poipu, Brennecke`s, and Shipwreck Beaches, and a few minutes` drive to some of the finest dining, golfing, shopping and hiking that Kauai has to offer, yet secluded enough to make you feel like a local. If condo style living is not your idea of a tropical vacation, then this is the place for you.
The house has all the amenities one would need, including a fully stocked kitchen, 36 flat screen TV, DVDs, Wifi, in-house washer and dryer, and a private tropical lanai with BBQ and patio set.
Downstairs, there is one bedroom with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom. Next to it, in the second sleeping area of the bedroom, there is a twin bed and the area can be closed off from the living room. In the living room downstairs, there is also a queen size futon with an upgraded mattress, which could be used as another bedroom (forget about those old lumpy futon mattresses, you`ll never know you`re sleeping on a futon, it is so comfortable!). Also, upstairs is a full bed that is suspended from the loft-style ceiling and the second bathroom. The second floor has a wonderful ocean view where one can cook, dine or just lounge around while watching the rolling sea.

| | | his was our very first trip to Hawaii. We chose Kauai on the recommendation of friends. Of all of our holidays, this was the most relaxed. The pace of the island was exactly what we were looking for. The Makanui bungalow is in a beautiful, private location. The ocean views from the kitchen, the sing song of the birds in the morning, and gentle swaying breezes make you forget all sense of time. Poipu has all the amenities close by: Brenecke's Beach, great restaurants and shopping, and of course beautiful beaches to swim and play. |

| | | What a fanatic place to stay in Poipu, Hi, we spend a great deal
of time looking for a Non-Resort to spend a week there. Everything
about Makanui Bungalow was perfect, We loved the layout, Cooked
all of our meals there on the grill as well as the stove, only
had a evening Dinner out once. The Staff are unbelievable, friendly,
Helped us get in contact with the folks to preform our simple,
wonderful Marriage Service on the Beach, as well as rental car,any
thing we needed. The Location and easy to find and to travel all
over the Island. We had the best ever vacation and we have been a lot of vacations. This was the nicest ever. |
