There are two base lift areas, River Run and Warm Springs. Both offer condos and homes within a short walk to the lifts, a few restauarants and shops, and free shuttle access to the town of Ketchum (approximately 1/2 - 1 mile from these areas). Ketchum has a free shuttle that runs every 20 minutes to the lifts, also offers homes, townhomes, condos and many hotels and inns. The majority of restaurants, nightlife and shopping for the Sun Valley Ski area are located in Ketchum. But one more mile a way is the resort area of Sun Valley. Here there are many shops and restaurants, two hotels, condos and homes for rent. The popular beginner's mountain of Dollar mountain is located just outside the Sun Valley resort premises. And just over the hill from Sun Valley Resort is the resort area of Elkhorn were there are additional homes and condos to rent. All of these areas are connected by a free shuttle that runs every 20 minutes and can get you to any area within a few momments.

Approximately 12 miles south of Ketchum and Sun Valley is the town of Hailey. The Sun Valley airport is located here. Hailey offers additional hotels and inns.
