The home was originally designed by and built by Fremont Ellis in 1932 for the artist Bea Binkley The original house burned down in the 1980s and has been loving restored, rebuilt and added onto in 2008-2009. The house is a stunning architectural gem with three bedrooms, a terrace on the second floor with hot tub and fabulous views, a gourmet kitchen, extraordinary living and dining rooms and terraces all around, as well as an outdoor fireplace.House has many levels and stairs as well as an outside upper story unprotected deck.....not ideal for kids
There are four bathrooms, a carport, laundry room and trails to walk for 17 acres. The historic neighborhood, San Sebastian was started as an artists colony by Fremont Ellis in the 1930s. There are many well known artists in the area. The house sits on the side of a mountain and is surrounded a pinon forest.
