This is a two bedroom log cabin plus a great loft with a full bed, twin bed, full bath and ping pong table! On the main floor, the two bedrooms share a full hall bath. One room has a King Bed, one has a Queen. This home is in a prime location, just off Poplar Grove Road, only 5 minutes back to Highway 105 in Boone (8 minutes to the main intersection in Boone with the Wendys and Wells Fargo bank!). You can also easily reach Blowing Rock, either going through Boone, or down Popular Grove Road to Shulls Mill Road. The owners just added a choice air conditioner in the loft, which does a good job of cooling the loft, and letting the cool air drift down to the main floor (for those rare days in the mountains where just a little cooling would be nice!)
The living room boasts a terrific, large leather sofa which could comfortably accommodate an 8th guest, if you needed the room. The living room is beautifully outfitted with this large leather sofa, and lounge chair to enjoy DVD movies, cable, or Netflix on the new large flat screen smart TV ... or just enjoy your company around a stone wood burning fireplace. (Note: The living rooms sofa is not a pull out couch, but will nicely accommodate sleeping for one).
The kitchen is very spacious, and well outfitted with new pots, pans, dishes, and other cookware that the owners thought would be helpful to have for all groups. They especially noted a large pot for cooking soups or spaghetti!
The dining table comfortably seats 6, and enjoys nice views out the windows surrounding the kitchen. This home is located in a well planned, and neatly upkept log cabin community in Boone, North Carolina. One comment that we hear again and again from those who stay in this community is the peace and quiet. People love sitting on the porch in the early morning to enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee, where they can hear the horses grazing just across the valley in the Yonahlossee Stables. Who knows, maybe you would like to arrange a riding lesson while you are here!

| | | We were pleased with the home that we rented.....Kumbaya Cabin... We had a great time! Did a whole lot of nothing which was perfect for us... And thanks for the snow while we were there, made the stay that much more perfect!... The pictures on the website were a perfect representation of the cabin, and the cabin was stocked with way more than what we expected. (March 15-22, 2013)
