Heaven Sent is a Classic Old Style Log Cabin with trees used in their natural state with only the bark peeled and the corners cut. The logs are flattened to stack nicely, and the rafters are natural logs. What a neat old log cabin, ready for the upcoming ski season at Appalachian Ski Mountain, a very easy short 0.3 mile walk down the flat road to the ski slopes.
This home has a wonderful wood burning wood stove insert that heats the house, and wood is provided. This home is also equipped with electric and gas heat.
Heaven sent has 1 bedroom with a new King Bed and 1 bath on the main floor. The main floor has a bathroom with a shower in a cast iron tub. The upstairs has another bedroom tucked into the ceiling of the home with 2 double beds and a new full bath with tile shower.
The Master Bedroom has a very comfortable new King bed with luxurious down bedding. There is also a nice wall mounted flat screen TV to enjoy from the comfort of this king bed. There is also an iLive clock radio for ipod/iphone.
The upstairs bedroom with two double beds also has a nice wall mounted flat screen TV to enjoy from the beds. This TV has Cable, a VCR and DVD player connected to it. Also, upstairs there is a full bath with a new, tile, walk-in shower.
The living room is comfortably appointed with 2 large leather lazy boy chairs and a love seat couch to enjoy time together in front of the wood burning stove, or enjoy a great movie or TV programming on the beautiful and large flat screen Plasma TV. And for gamers, there is an X-Box gaming system. The living room is conveniently located next to the dining room, adding additional seating for games to be played, and/or you can enjoy the benefits of the living room all from the dining area.
The dining area is surrounded by nice windows to enjoy the beautiful wooded view, often covered in snow during the winter. It has a large table that comfortably seats 6-10 people with extra leafs available to put in as needed.
There is good parking for 2 cars at this property. This house has great winter access with good snow plowing all the way to the house.
This home was just bought in November 2011, and they have updated the home by bringing in a great large flat plasma screen TV in the living room. They also added a flat screen TV mounted on the wall to be watched from the double beds upstairs and from the King Bed in the master bedroom. You can play a DVD upstairs or in the living room. All TVs are hooked up to Cable service, and the property has wireless high speed internet access.
The home was just recently painted so it feels so nice and fresh. The King bed in the master bedroom is brand new with very cozy down linens. There are new linens throughout as well. All linens and cleaning are included in the rental rate.
This home has great winter access, easy parking for 2 cars, and provides just a short walk to the ski slopes at Appalachian Ski Mountain ... So come enjoy winter with us!
And in summer, enjoy the cool wooded setting, just minutes from downtown Blowing Rock and Boone.
