| | Breakfast with the Turtles
We love Kuhio Shores.This was our 3rd time there. In 104 you grab your coffee and watch the turtles in the bay right off your lanai. The ocean is right there!! What a way to start your day! It was bright and sunny in the morning--spectacular sun-rises. The inviting trade winds came right on through in the evenings and kept us cool-no need for a/C. The unit and grounds were impeccably clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Albert, the manager, was great. Great Vacation Retreats, also very friendly and helpful, made booking easy & no stress. Kuhio Shores unit 104 has everything you need. Poipu is our favorite area in Kauai- a most magical place. |

| | 5 Weeks Wasn't Long Enough
My wife and I stayed in this condo for 5 weeks and were very satisfied with the cleanliness, the appliances, and the first floor access to the lawn. The bay is interesting to watch with scuba, snorkel and net fishing going on at various moments during the day. Use of the barbecue grill was a great way to meet other vacationers. |

| | Best Beach Front Value
Kuhio Shores 104 was an excellent value for ocean front staying, parking and walking accessibility, healthy and affordable cooking with the kitchenette, and beautiful sunsets and sunrises right from your porch! The service was incredible because they offered a free raft trip and even stored our luggage on the last day! We loved it so much that we are already planning our next trip back! |

| | Very good stay
Very clean. View is simply paradise. Great Vacations is very helpful at all times. Had a simply magical 5 week stay. Barbecue is easy access and a great place to chat with other vacationers. Small quibble. My wife found baking utensils lacking in the kitchen. |

| | Bookiing this unit with Great vacation retreats was easy!!! when we arrived picking up the car was a breeze and finding the unit was easy as well. Kuhio shores has free parking for guests and always plenty of parking space. the traffic in the area is quite light. the unit was well stocked with toiletires, coffee and ice. we were delighted to find that the unit also is stocked with 2 beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler, boogie board and basic snorkle gear. the unit is bright and sunny in the am, cool and shady as the day wears on. this is a great advantage as the sun can get very warm by mid day. the lanai looks over a cove where the turtles live. I snorkled in that area and literaly swam with them!!! snorkeling for colorful fish is best on the west side of the building where there is a protected cove and nicer beach. the unit itself is very nice. the only issue we had was the bedding.the bed did not have a fitted sheet..... I would stay inn this unit again! |

| | All I could say was "Wow" when I walked into our place!
Great Vacation Retreats was very helpful and easy to work with. The suite was gorgeous and spacious. Everything was clean and new. The location was absolutely great! Watched (and swam with) the turtles right outside our place and on the other side of the complex we snorkeled with all the beautiful tropical fish (even saw a big moray eel!) We had all of our meals in the suite and the kitchen had most of everything we needed. They even had some little coffee pkgs to get us through the first morning or 2 (although be forewarned...there was no salt and pepper for some reason) There were beach chairs and snorkel equipment in the cupboards and even some novels and guide books to read while we were there. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to everyone. |

| | what a thrill to be feet from the ocean and the sea turtles. the condo was in a great location and every morning i had coffee with the turtles. it made my trip. i didn't do any sight seeing because i was so comfortable - i had everything i wanted or needed to make my trip perfect. i have already been singing #104's praises to my friends and will stay there again the fall of 2010.

| | From our first contact with Great Vacation Retreats to our departure from Kauai we had nothing but excellent service. As it was not high season we did pay a discounted rate. The condo itself was exactly what we needed and the views even more spectacular than the photos. We had a couple of small requests while staying there and they were dealt with immediately.
I would highly recommend contacting this company and would definately use them again.

| | My condo needed a little work on plumbing fixtures but worked weel enoug to still give 3 stars for comfort. It was clean and location good for price. I paid less then what survey suggests. Retreats gave me a good deal. Next time there I would pay more and get a oceanfront view south facing. This had more view and solitude compared to bay facing condos like #104. Overall location, price, and cleanliness is a 4 out of 5. |

| | Of the two places I'd booked for my recent Kauai trip, the unit at Kuhio shores was the one I'd had the most modest hopes for. I was pleasantly surprised. The photos do not do justice to how cutely the interior was done (sortof a tiki/giligan's island motif, all the way down to cool floor tiles and neato bamboo faced cabinets). The bed was comfortable, and it was obvious that the unit was very recently refurbished and outfitted. Kitchen was very well stocked, and bedding, towels, etc. were brand-new and nice. Great location of course, right on the water, with sea turtles to the left of you, a lovely sunset and the beach house restaurant (and nice easy snorkling) to the right. Nice lanai to chill and watch the waves. My only gripe is that there is no laundry in the unit and only 2 washers to share between 10 condos (which is a bummer when you have a small baby and you packed really light) Great price, and you can't beat the proximity to some great snorkling that's fit for kids and adult |
