Simply elegant, Elsie’s Treehouse completely turns the idea of roughing it in the mountains on its head. While it has appeal to potential vacationers of all background and demographic, in many ways it is a Treehouse designed and furnished for the appreciation and indulgence of grownups. Elsie’s Treehouse has a spacious interior floor plan and thanks to the numerous landscape windows, every square inch of it is bathed in an enormous amount of natural light. The bulk of the main level space has been divided between the cozy great room and an impressive eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need to cook a memorable home cooked meal. A massive double sided fireplace sits between the great room and kitchen, creating a seamless flow to the space and lending to the incredible ambiance of the space. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a wine chiller, and even a formal dining area leading out to the fireside screened porch sitting area, all the details have been covered to make Elsie’s Treehouse a special place to catch up with friends and entertain. Also on the cabin’s main level, guests can find Elise’s impressive master suite with a king size bed & private Jacuzzi tub & glass shower in the master bath.
A second, cozier sitting area is in the cabin loft along with the cabin’s only TV & DVD player as well as a collection of various books. From this viewpoint you can look out over the exposed beams onto the open great room and kitchen below or out the large landscape windows into the lush green treetops. Also, accessible from this common loft space are the remaining two bedrooms, each with a King bed and sharing a single bathroom. In the cabin’s unfinished basement, guests will find both air hockey and foosball tables should they decide to indulge in a quick game but most will instead decide to venture down the hillside to the cabins 160+ feet of beautiful Fightingtown Creek frontage to unwind. Guests can either hike down the hillside to the rushing water below or pack up a picnic, water toys, and a few books in the car and make the 1 mile drive from the cabin down the hillside to the sectioned parking & water access area below. By the creekside there are hammocks and a fire pit, and plenty of space to stretch out a blanket for a picnic—just be sure to keep an eye on your picnic basket and trash, leaving them out too long will carry a scent and attract the attention of the furry four-legged locals! Guests can bring tubes and tube down the creek from the access point, or with proper state fishing license cast a line, although the line and pole might be optional—the owner himself watched his nephew reach down into the creek and pull out an enormous trout with his bare hands!
Elsie’s Treehouse is just minutes from downtown Copperhill, TN & McCaysville, GA which means it is only about 10-15 minutes from the world-famous Ocoee River white water rapids. Also nearby are local horseback riding companies, shops, and restaurants.
